EST. 2018 // ARCHIVE // PORTLAND OR
LR grew out of the soil and the sidewalk. Our roots are buried deep in 90s skateboarding. We originally launched LR as a way to give back to Portland’s houseless community. And it worked for a minute, but the reality was a much bigger problem.
We started to focus more on skateboarding again and not so “Portland-centric.” By the time COVID silenced the city, we were ready to let the brand go for good. Then, a single shirt made to thank a friend brought everything back into focus.
Today, LR is focused on archiving the real Portland. Not the postcard version, or a single symbol, but the spots that hold history, mean something to someone—even if those are spots sometimes avoided, abandoned, or even hidden.
Fuck the industry and gatekeepers. These big companies don’t do shit. Local skaters have had more parks built than all of them combined.
